Lena Hill

Lena M. Hill is Assistant Professor of English and African American Studies at the University of Iowa.  Her current book project examines the role of visual art aesthetics in African-American literature from the eighteenth to the mid-twentieth century.  She is co-author of Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man: A Reference Guide (Greenwood, 2008).  Her work on Ellison has also appeared in American Literature and is forthcoming in African American Review.
